Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations for events registered through EventBox.id.
1. Event Cancellation by Organizer
If an organizer cancels an event:
- Full Refund: All registered participants will receive a full refund
- Notification: Participants will be notified via email
- Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
2. Event Postponement
If an event is postponed (date changed but not cancelled):
- Participants have the option to:
- Transfer registration to the new date, OR
- Request a full refund
- Participants must notify within 7 days of the postponement announcement
3. Participant Cancellation
Before Registration Deadline:
- Full Refund: 100% of registration fee will be refunded
- No questions asked
After Registration Deadline:
- No Refund: Registration fee is non-refundable
- Exception: Special circumstances may be considered by the organizer
4. No-Show Policy
If you register for an event but do not attend:
- No refund will be provided
- Your registration is forfeited
5. Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method
- Processing time: 5-14 business days depending on payment provider
- You will receive email confirmation once refund is processed
6. Disputes and Exceptions
For special circumstances or disputes:
- Contact the event organizer first
- If unresolved, contact EventBox.id support
- Provide relevant documentation
- Decisions are made on case-by-case basis
7. Force Majeure
In case of circumstances beyond control (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.):
- Full refund or transfer to future events
- Depends on organizer's decision
- EventBox.id will assist in communication
8. Organizer Payouts
For organizers:
- Platform commission is deducted from registration fees
- Payouts are processed according to settlement settings
- Refund responsibility depends on timing as outlined above
